Squids, jarheads, zoomies, flyboys, grunts coasties … its all good. Nicknames are a sign of affection. Its cool for one service member to tease another service member. Just don’t let some civilian puke start in on one of the service folks. It doesn’t matter what uniform we are wearing, we are all brothers and sisters under one flag.

When you’re overseas for a long time, the simplest things are questioned. Hats off and a drink to all the females serving in uniform. Too ofetn they are never mentioned and don’t get the credit they deserve. Ladies … you are awesome!!!

Remember those old World War II movies of air combat … Baa Baa Black Sheep with Robert Conrad and the USMC vs. the Japanese in the South Pacific? How about Robert Lansing in Tewlve O’Clock High and the B-17s over Europe? Just thought I’d do a little take off on the “bandits” from those older shows.
