74. Overseas Orders

Yeah we yuck it up sometimes about Coasties and the 12 mile limit, but let’s not forget, they do fill a vital role OVERSEAS also. Coasties served honorably in Vietnam and they are currently patrolling ports in the middle east, helping to keep them safe from terrorist attack.

A detachment of Coasties were also attached to my son’s destroyer for boarding and siezing suspected drug smugglers vessels. They did make a huge score on a smuggler and the Coasties were the guys leading the way to board the vessel.
