Claiming to be something you aren’t doesn’t sit well in the military while that same false claim doesn’t seem to diminish civilians when they do it. Just ask DaNang Dick Blumenthal, the Dem senator from Connecticut. He’s still accusing the president and anyone else who supports him of telling falsehoods about his military career  or more accurately lack of one.

While seeming to be a very minor infraction, not writing home could be a pain in the a$$ for your commander.  After getting hurt one time in South East Asia, I did not write my mother because I did not want her to worry. After not hearing from me for 6 weeks … I guess I went too far … she called the Red Cross! They in turn contacted the military who tracked me down to my unit. Not a good ass chewing!!!!
