I bet you all thought those assignment desk folks and detailers out there used some sort of complex formulas and computers to generate assignments. Yeah, right.

Didn’t it always seem the DI was chewing someone out or yelling about something? The only silent times I remember were when it was “lights out” and the the latrine crew went and did their job!

I remember hanging from a rope over water on the obstacle course and the DI screaming at me to let go. I didn’t want to, I wanted to try and get to the other side. He said it was too late that I had to drop. I kind of stalled until he started taking off his hat and come up after me … I then just let go. Damn was was cold.
