677. Sgt. York

I figured this was a military centric web site so why not highlight some military folks every once in a while. Sgt. York is famous for his actions in World War I where he earned the French Croix de Guerre, Legion of Honor and later on the US Congressional Medal of Honor.

He is credited with wiping out numerous German machine gun nests and along with his fellow patrol members, captured 132 German soldiers! He was given his medal by Gen. John Pershing.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend, stay safe.

676. Sept. 11th

As a native New Yorker I couldn’t not do something today, especially since Friday is a normal update day. Here’s a tip of the hat to all the folks who didn’t make it out of the towers, those that ran to help not knowing what was happening and to all first responders. NYC and the rest of the country will never be the same.

Have a great weekend folks, thanks for stopping by and be safe.
