I guess there are a limited set of activities on a trip to the polar ice cap. I guess you could always bring your ice skates, hockey sticks and curling brooms!

I can remember way back when I was in Basic I had to hem my newly issued fatigue pants … yes, so far back they called them fatigues! Instead of cutting the excess material off, I just made a huge hem, about 6-7 inches and tacked it up with maybe 4 stitches in each leg. Not something to be proud of, but hey … it worked.
