I read somewhere the Navy camo was to conceal a sailor if he fell overboard. Why? I would think you’d want EVERYONE and their mother to see you. If anything, maybe they should be dull gray like the hulls of the ships. Or … maybe they should go back to the bell bottom jeans and denim shirts like real Navy people!!!! OK, maybe I’m prejudiced and really like the old uniforms. But why do you need camo utilities on a ship? If you’re serving in a joint command on land then be my guest and where them.
