These 2 parents were always bragging about their sons constantly being called up to active duty. No matter where you ran into them, they were telling some kind of deployment story. You&#8217;d think they were SEALs or Green Berets. Turns out they were with &#8220;the band.&#8221; They were activated for various ceremonies and such. Hey &#8230; they still served, thats not the issue. Its the parents who built up this GI Joe character.
