413. Parachute No-Go

I’ve been there! Attended a 5 hr jump class for 1st time jumpers. Jumping off little stands into sand and then rolling and all that good stuff. At the end of the 5 hr class we were to go up in a plane and make our first jump. Towards the end of the class, the weather had changed and the wind was really kicking up, so as first time jumpers we were told we had to come back a later date … yeah right! I never did. Had too much time to think about it and chickened out … there, I said it.

Thanks for coming by and please pass the INCOMING word around to all your friends and family.

Just a quick note, I have also updated a cartoon for Friday of this week. Because … I will be in the hospital tomorrow getting my superhero titanium hip! Yay! If all goes according to schedule, I’ll be in and out the same day. But in the event I wouldn’t be up to drawing a cartoon, I went ahead and uploaded a few in advance. Have a great week!!!

  1. The element missing from today’s drawing is the HUGE SSG with the size 15 combat boot ‘assisting’ reluctant troops. He was there for my first (and second through fifth) jump.

    AIRBORNE!

  2. You’re right! I think one of the first INCOMING cartoons I ever did was an Airborne one and there was an NCO next to the door.

    Thanks for visiting the site!
