The old days of “convoy” in the Navy sense is over. Both Navy and Air Force personnel are performing convoy duty or escort duty these days. I’m thinking it frees up the Army and Marines for more traditional combat roles. In addition it gives the Navy and Air Force more opportnities to get dirty. Whatever it takes.
“Whatever it takes” … bingo!
BTW: I’m adding a button to your site on my front page.
Keep up the good work.
Wet convoys are still around for hot spots like the Persian Gulf and Somalia and cold spots like Murmansk and Siberia. Your land convoy made me think of checking the tractors for rubber ducks and staying as far away as possible from that vehicle.
