It figures doesn’t it? The guy with the googly eyes has his marksmanship ribbon on in the wrong position! Of course from his position it must look awfully good. I don’t know what the qualifying score is anymore, but back in the day we had to shoot at least a 54 out of 60 to qualify to wear it the ribbon. That was using an M-16. Prior to going overseas we also had to qualify with a .38 revolver! I don’t remember what that qual score was however … too many years.

In 1979 (!) I qualified for the marksmanship ribbon at Lackland shooting the M-16.22 so I was an Air Force Trained Marksman ™ using a 22 caliber rimfire rifle LOL
