Oh man, I can remember me and my buds pushing the limits on this back in the day. Also with the sideburns, letting them creep down as far as possible. Don’t know if I mentioned it previously, we used to put Dippity Doo green gel in our hair to grease it down and stuff it under our hats. That hot Carolina sun would melt it and we’d have green goo running down our faces in formation! Then the NCOIC would make us go to the base barber shop and report back to him. Ahh, the good old days. 🙂

Remember those days well Buddy. In the 70’s we were all trying to be GI by day and Hippie by night. We used to hid a lot of hair up under those hats.
